    Andy Carritt

    General Manager

    Andy joined Valmont® Irrigation in 1996. Since then, he has played an integral role in redefining the product development methodology within the company. Andy was a member of the first team to implement Agile project management within Valley, and as director of IT and software applications, he facilitated a company-wide shift to bring the voice of the customer to the forefront of product development. Andy leads the product development department, overseeing dealer experience, IT operations and new product development. Effective January 1, 2020, Valmont Industries purchased AgSense and appointed Andy as General Manager. In this role, Andy will be responsible for the operation, integration and financial performance of AgSense.

    Steel Maloney

    Vice President of Global Technical Sales

    Steel Maloney began his career with CES in 1987 as a part-time hydrologist. During his tenure with CES, Mr. Maloney has held positions of Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Director of Operations, Director of Business Development and, since 2005, CES President. During his twenty-plus years of professional experience, he has specialized in water quality management and the development of management strategies that reuse water and wastewater from agriculture, municipalities, industry, and food processors to reduce environmental impacts and conserve resources. Effective January 1, 2020, Valmont Industries purchased AgSense and appointed Steel as VP of Global Technical Sales. Steel and his team will continue to educate dealers and customers on our technology products

    Steve Sveum

    Director of Technical Sales - International

    Steve has been involved in agriculture most of his life. He was raised near Omaha in eastern Nebraska, and spent most of his summers working for farmers in that area, as well as in northeast South Dakota near his family’s homestead farm. Steve developed a passion for agriculture during those years and went on to receive an agricultural business degree from South Dakota State University. His 25-year career in the Ag industry has been spent in sales and leadership roles, primarily in the application and precision Ag segments. Steve particularly enjoys projects developing new businesses and markets. He now makes his home in Centerville, MN, with his wife and two children.

  • michael meyer - director of engineering agsense
    Michael Meyer

    Director of Engineering

    Michael was born and raised in Madison, SD. He spent many summers working on the family farm and exploring the ins and outs of electronics and computers. Michael started a computer- and electronics-repair business in 1995, while in high school. He has owned several businesses since then, including automotive electronics and service. In addition to his scheduling and supervisory responsibilities for AgSense engineering projects, Michael also designs the electronics and printed circuit boards of each product, determines all part specifications, and is head of quality control for the company. Coming to AgSense with a background in automotive technology, Mike continues to have a passion for classic and rare automobiles. He has been restoring them since his early teens and continues that hobby in a shop adjacent to his home in rural Huron, SD.

    Brent Tebay

    Director of Operations

    Raised in Alpena, SD, a small town 20 miles southwest of Huron, Brent helped his family raise pigs from a young age. During the summer months throughout high school, he helped his uncle with field work on the farm. After high school, he worked at the local elevator for three years before transitioning into the printing industry. Brent was a production manager in the printing industry for over 15 years before coming to AgSense. At AgSense, Brent is responsible for purchasing, production and shipping. Additionally, he oversees the tech support and customer service teams. He’s married and has four children.
